What began as a landscape contracting company grew into something no one predicted: a fully integrated Design + Build ecosystem spanning villas, pools, smart technology, Italian kitchens, and real estate advisory. Not through a master plan, but through the persistent belief that every detail matters — and that the best way to deliver a home is to own every part of the process.
That belief is twenty years old. It has never changed.
HOW IT BEGAN
The Formation of BG Group
BG Group was created organically when Bruno Guélaff and Khalid Kaluti's professional paths crossed in Dubai. Both quickly realised that combining their award-winning specialties could lead to something quite unique — a transparent and honest Design + Build company that could offer not only the highest quality construction services, but award-winning design providing an unparalleled experience and end product. A true full turnkey system, designed in-house.
2006 — THE BEGINNING
Khalid Kaluti starts Better Gardens in Dubai with a simple belief: that landscape and outdoor living should be designed with the same care as the interior.
2008 — THE PARTNERSHIP
Bruno Guélaff returns to Dubai and Studio Bruno Guélaff is established. After being each other's clients, Khalid and Bruno recognise that together they can offer something no one else in the market could — a fully integrated, design-led, build-complete service.
2018 — THE START OF EXPANSION
Better Gardens introduces European kitchens, expanding beyond landscape. Better Gardens introduces European kitchen design through Pedini — bringing Italian craftsmanship to Dubai's luxury living market.
2019 — THE GROWTH
BG Villas launches as the flagship turnkey division, expanding the group to cover architecture, interior design, pools and landscaping, lighting, and furnishings — all in-house, all under one roof.
2020 — THE ECOSYSTEM
BG Smart is created, redefining what a luxury home can do. The group becomes a true ecosystem of luxury living.
2024–2026 — THE NEXT CHAPTER
BG Properties launches, extending BG's expertise into real estate development and investment advisory. In 2026, BG marks its 20th anniversary — and the most ambitious phase of its journey begins.

KHALID KALUTI
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
A visionary entrepreneur with over 35 years of experience across hospitality, retail, luxury real estate, and construction. Khalid's journey spans creating upscale restaurants in the USA, bringing renowned brands to the Middle East, and elevating Dubai's design and construction landscape.
Starting with landscape contracting, he expanded into villa construction, smart home automation, and luxury interiors — introducing the world-renowned Italian kitchen brand Pedini to Dubai and establishing a high-end real estate brokerage and consultancy. His collaboration with Studio Bruno Guélaff brought innovative design solutions to the region and gave BG Group its identity.
With a deep understanding of craftsmanship, design, and investment strategy, Khalid continues to shape luxury living with a seamless approach to real estate, construction, and high-end lifestyle solutions.

BRUNO GUELAFF
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Award-winning, multi-disciplinary designer and the creative force behind BG Group's identity. Born in New York City with French roots, Bruno completed his education at Lycée Français de New York and earned a bachelor's degree in sociology before discovering his true passion at the New York School of Interior Design.
As the first recipient of the B.F.A. Travel Prize, Bruno visited 15 countries across 22 cities — an experience that deeply shaped his distinctive design style. Following his role as head designer at a prominent New York firm, Bruno returned to Dubai in 2008 and has been the creative conscience of BG Group ever since.
Today, he leads Studio Bruno Guélaff within the BG Group, where he continues to push the boundaries of design, architecture, and brand identity — bringing beauty and rigour to every project he touches.
